- For toggling between two satellite receivers on one LNB, no tiresome replugging
- Allows the simultaneous connection of 2 satellite receivers (e.g. built-in satellite receiver in the TV and an external hard drive receiver) to one coax cable
- Only one receiver can be active at any one time, however, with the receiver at output A always having priority over output B
- Example: A hard disk drive receiver is connected to output A and switched on, which means output B has no signal. When the hard disk drive receiver (output A) is switched off, the receiver on output B is active.
